Sometimes we are asked, “What is the difference between an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree?” That’s a fair question.
The first higher-education degree after a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential is referred to as an undergraduate degree. The usual degree is a Bachelor degree (an Associate degree is also available). At Patriot Bible University, a Bachelor degree requires 64 courses to be taken and is offered in four Ministerial Studies majors and four Christian Education majors.
Graduate degrees are earned after a Bachelor’s degree is completed. The first graduate degree is a Master degree and the second is a Doctorate. Patriot Bible University offers a Master degree and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree in any of five majors. The Masters degree requires 10 courses and a thesis. Our DMin degree requires 12 additional courses beyond the Masters plus a dissertation.
Multiple degrees may also be taken in different majors.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:33
